F3 Duathlon race 3 - http://bit.ly/F3-Events-Duathlon-3-2012-Official-Photos

It's been a massive weekend of action, with over 85,000 images being processed though by the team here in the office. Over 50 man hours have gone into getting these images processed and catalogued with race numbers for you to be able to search and see them quickly - it's been a massive task, but one the team has taken to well. We're looking fowards to seeing your choices and orders !

Next weekend is also big with the Sussex Marathon, Paddock Wood Half Marathon and the Bournemouth Bay runs - lets hope the weather sticks well for everyone ! And let's hope they never all end up on the same day too...

I'll put some gallery pictures from the weekend up on our facebook page here as soon as I've finished the F3 duathlon and organised next weekend !

http://bit.ly/Spitfire-20-Tempest-10-2012-Official-Photos

Full results can be found on the Sport Systems site

A race report can be found on the Events To Live site

Getting started in the sunshine
Over 1000 runners took to the road at Dunsfold Aerodrome for the Surrey Tempest 10 and Spitfire 20.  The first 3 miles of the race take place within the Aerodrome, which is also home to BBCs Top Gear, then head out to the surrounding country roads.

Here's some pictures of the action.

Synchronising watches
Leading all the way, first home winning the Tempest in 55:23

The chasing pack

Taxi-ing down the runway
Preparing for the turn

Static bolt in the countryside - broadband is slower out there

Airplanes visible in the county lanes
Gliding to the finish, first to complete the 2 laps with a time of 1:51:42

Dynamic bolt at the end of the first lap

A good walk spoiled?

Catering with a smile from the ladies of Surrey East Girlguiding

Well done to everyone who completed the events.   Excellent conditions for running and unlike the Spitfire/Tempest last time, no rain!  A big thank you to Alan, Nicky and the Events to Live team, and all the volunteer marshals who helped everything run so well on the day.

Next up from the Events To Live team is the Denbies 10 on 20th May, with some great views of the North Downs, plenty of hill and the great facilites of the Denbies Vineyard for the race HQ, start and finish.

If you're looking for something a little sooner....

April 1st Races still open:

Paddock Wood Half Marathon  (north west Kent)
Sussex Half and Full Marathon (mid-east Sussex)
The BHF Bournemouth Half, 10k, 5k (Bournemouth pier)
The Bolt Round the Holt - Half, 10k and 5k (A31 nr Farnham)

Ashford and District 10k 2012 - now live

The Race gallery for the Ashford and District 10k is now live and online here:

Just make sure you use the whole race number that was on your number bib (some of the numbers had 1000 added to them when compared to the results). i.e. use 1877 - not 877.

Full links to results and race information on the Nice-Work website can be found here: http://www.nice-work.org.uk/events.php?id=10
The results are here: http://niceworkevents.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/sunday-18th-march-2011-ashford-district.html

Rescheduled from the snow in february, totally different, near perfect conditions confronted the competitors and organisers on Sunday at the Sandyacres sports and social club. It made a pleasant change from the rain that has been about for the last few weeks.

IPCO chip timing being handed out at registration
The gentle walk up to the start at the top of the lane was a nice loosener
Off at the start, 570 made it on the day, down a bit no doubt due to the rescheduling
A gentle enough start down the lane
Good to see Ashford Tri Club doing some running

The fastest local pizza delivery you could wish for
Playing to the crowd at the finish
Marshals - where would we be without them ? Lost, that's where.
It's lonely out the front - Phil Anthony heading for a 30:55
37:09 for Tina Oldershaw, complaining of sleepy legs at the start, so she chose to hover all the way round
Remember you run faster when you smile !
Well done to everyone completing the race and enjoying the hills and undulations. Excellent conditions for running a 10k, about 14degC, and a slight breeze. I would have hoped for many course PBs on the day.

A big thank you to Martin and the Nice Work team, and Ashford & District Road Runners who made everything run so smoothly on the day, even holding the rain off until after everything was packed away.

Worthing 20 2012 Gallery now live

Race photos from the Worthing 20 2012 are now live and online here:

http://bit.ly/Worthing-20-2012-Official-Photos

All go from the start line at Goring gap
On a day with perfect conditions for 20 mile running it was a fast last lap that made 1:49:10 for Mark Jenkin of Bideford, coming from several minutes down in third place on the third lap to get past James Baker (1:51:40) and Andrew Rayner who on the earlier lap had been in first place and several minutes up on Baker - who retained second place, with Rayner finishing in third in 1:52:30.
It's a shame there are no individual lap times, but the results show the 10 mile splits which shows Jenkin clearly won the second 10 miles by running a 54:27 compared to a 58:12 from Rayner. Baker probably wondered what was going on when he captured first place only for Jenkin to storm past whilst he was doing a sharp 57:21 for his last 10.

Full results can be found on the worthing race website here : http://www.worthingharriers.com/worthing-20.php

In the womens race Sarah Hill from Farnham Runners closed in on 2:11:07, with an almost even 10 mile pace split of 1:06:05, some one minute ahead of Karen Rushton with a 2:12:15.

Tony the starter didn't spot a head start

Very best of luck for the Marathons,

Brutal 10 - March race now live

Another fantastically Brutal 10 race from the chaps that know how to make it hurt.

A great turnout for this the second race of the series in 2012, and whilst it was a bit less muddy than the last one, it was no less hilly or dry. Dave and Colin put some serious hard work through the competitors this time and the results spoke for themselves. Happy contented and challenged competitors at the finish.

Full race results can be found here: http://www.brutalrun.co.uk/results/
Their facebook page is here: http://www.facebook.com/brutal10

And the official race photos are now live on here: http://bit.ly/Brutal-10-Race-2-2012-Official-Photos

Here's a taster of the action - you'll have to go to the gallery to see the water crossing ! Enjoy and see you at the next one !
through the woods at 1k looking strong

one of the few flat bits on the course

can't see the woods for the watch - mind that tree !!

Canicross racing was just as hard work on 4 legs

Before the water crossing - nice and white

not a course for feeling faint on...

Just a small hill then

Correct hill attack technique

Victory on the last of the main downhills !

Happy to be descending

Spanish Cam Cream, not as effective as the usual UK MOD issue

Achieving is a good feeling

Not so white - after the water

Camo-dog

Stretch Armstrong

Some started to hallucinate at the end from the lactic acid

The YMCA wave started at the back of this pack

Did your saturday feel this good ? Well I guess it did for the Welsh rugby team, but only just.

The water crossing. The first one. Shoes were lost in the second one...

Go to the full gallery here to see the rest of the water crossing and other images from the day, and get hold of your pictures so they last you a lifetime...
